VAT eligibility is automatically determined based on the country information of the supporter’s payment method (credit card or PayPal).
Details for each payment method are explained below.
■ Credit card
For credit cards, the country is determined based on the country/region where the card was issued (i.e., the country of the financial institution that issued the card).
Please check the information or contact details listed on the back of your credit card. If you are unsure, we kindly ask that you contact your card issuer directly.
■ PayPal
For PayPal, the country is determined based on the Country/Region settings of your PayPal account.
- Log in to your PayPal and open Settings (gear icon)
- Check the Country/Region field or the country listed in your registered address
Please note that PayPal does not allow you to change the country or region of an existing account.
If your registered country differs from your current country of residence, you will need to create a new PayPal account for your current country/region and reconnect it to FANBOX.
