The Newsletter feature is designed for FANBOX creators, allowing them to send special announcements or seasonal greetings exclusively to selected supporters, or to reach out to followers who haven't yet offered their support.
Only users who meet the criteria set by the creator when sending a newsletter will be able to view it. These newsletters will appear in the recipients' Newsletter Inbox.
Creators can choose who will receive their newsletter from the following four categories.
1. All FANs and followers
2. All FANs
3. FANs subscribed to a specific plan
4. Followers
With option 3, creators can target newsletters to supporters of a certain plan (price tier).
Filter recipients by support period
Creators can also refine their newsletter recipient list based on how long someone has supported a specific plan, taking into account the total period of their support.
This is calculated at the time the newsletter is sent, focusing on the cumulative months a supporter has contributed to a particular price tier or any plan above that.
Should a supporter end their subscription, they will be classified as a follower, not as a supporter. This means that if someone stops their support just before a newsletter is sent, they will not receive newsletters intended for supporters.
Moreover, if a supporter changes their plan just before a newsletter is sent (e.g. from a 500 JPY plan to a 1,000 JPY plan or vice versa), the support duration will be adjusted based on the value of the new plan.
If you were expecting to receive a newsletter but didn't, or thought you were eligible but didn't receive anything, it could be due to the above reasons.
It's important to note that the total number of support months is not reset even if there are breaks in your support history. In other words, intermittent periods of support will still contribute to the total number of support months.
