When setting up multiple plans on FANBOX, the ideal prices for each tier vary depending on the creator and their product. Here, we'll delve into slightly more advanced topics, discussing recommended plan structures and approaches tailored to each genre.
Creators who receive a lot of support usually have three or more plans set up (*Reference: Public data from FANBOX's 6th anniversary post).
However, if there are too many plans, it can be difficult to differentiate between them and it can confuse fans who want to support you.
Therefore, we recommend starting with a single plan and increasing it to around three once you get used to how the platform works and what your community wants.

Illustrators
Recommended price tiers: 500 JPY / 1000 JPY / 2000 JPY
We recommend that you set 500 JPY for posts that contain journal logs for your works, rough drafts, or information on works that are available for free, and 1000 JPY or more for FANBOX-exclusive works, special variations, or additional perks.
If you set the most expensive 2000 JPY plan to be specifically for fans who want to support creators even more, then you can think of its contents as basically the same as the 1000 JPY plan, and you will not have to put in much effort to provide special perks.
Especially for illustrators, there may be cases where you may not be able to post the commissioned work or its production details on FANBOX due to contractual issues with clients. Also, due to the amount of time it takes to create one piece of work, it may be difficult to post finished works so frequently.
Therefore, to avoid having your regular creative time significantly cut into due to posting on FANBOX and preparing for special offers, we recommend that you think carefully about what kind of posts you will make and how often you will make them for each plan, and choose a set of plans that doesn't end up being a burden and is easy to manage.

Manga Artists
Recommended price tiers: 500 JPY / 1000 JPY / 1500 JPY
It is easier for manga artists to provide clear perks for each plan, such as getting to access the next part of a story sooner than the average reader.
Therefore, in addition to posts that contain journal logs for your works, drafts, and other information about the production process, we recommend that you take advantage of the 500 JPY plan to give early access to works that will be available for free on social media.
For example, if a work you have pre-released on FANBOX becomes popular on social media and more people want to read the rest, this might gain you a larger number of supporters. This is a major advantage for manga creators.
Being manga a story separated into chapters, we suggest that you take advantage of that by focusing on creating the next chapter and sharing it with your closest community, rather than coming up with extravagant perks for high-priced plans, which may end up as a huge production burden.
Usually, the majority of supporters prefer knowing that they're making it easier for you to concentrate on developing the story further so that they can read it sooner. That is why plans over 1000 JPY would generally not include any additional perks and would be better suited to those who want to genuinely support you even more.
Of course, if you want to share unpublished parts of your work or create side stories, or if it doesn't require much effort in case you're republishing a collection of your past work, you might consider offering it as an occasional perk using higher-priced plans.
If you are already a professional manga artist with a serialized work, or if it is difficult for you to post your work directly to FANBOX, we recommend creating a plan that is overall easy to manage and focuses on a production journal, just like for illustrators.

VTubers and Live Streamers
Recommended price tiers: 1000 JPY / 2000 JPY / 10000 JPY
VTubers and Live Streamers on FANBOX can be broadly divided into two types: those that only offer low-priced tiers (like a 500 JPY plan), and those that also offer a more expensive one, like a 10,000 JPY tier.
However, it may become difficult in the long run to keep up your streaming activities if you're only offering low-priced plans, unless you are already well-known, so we recommend that you set up higher-priced plans too.
Creators with more expensive plans often include special perks such as access to exclusive audio content or the opportunity to talk directly with the creator via phone or chat, but that's not always the case.
This is because fans that pledge a higher amount tend to do so purely out of the desire to support the creator, and do not expect much in return. You don't necessarily need to offer extravagant perks to get pledges.
On the other hand, the lower-priced plans are similar to other genres and the majority of posts consist of regular journals, photos, and behind-the-scenes clips from streams. We highly recommend this plan as you can offer all sorts of perks, such as posting audio, pre-releasing videos, posting videos and thumbnails you were not gonna use anyway, streaming exclusively on FANBOX, and giving away fan art as wallpaper.
However, you should keep in mind that streaming and uploading videos should always be your main activity. Make sure you create a balanced plan for all your activities and avoid straining yourself too much for your FANBOX.
Additionally, VTubers and streamers now have the option of getting pledges on streaming platforms such as YouTube Premium and Twitch Turbo, and they sometimes struggle with how to make their FANBOX stand out.
These streaming platforms offer features such as gifting viewing rights, which makes it comparatively easier to get pledges even from first-time viewers. The advantage of FANBOX is that the platform fees are relatively low, and creators get to receive almost the whole pledge amount.
Therefore, we recommend that you use other platforms for low-priced plans that feel more approachable, and use FANBOX for more expensive plans of over 1000 JPY for dedicated fans who want to pledge a higher amount.

Musicians
Recommended price tiers: 500 JPY / 1000 JPY / 2000 JPY
We recommend the 500 JPY plan for posting private journals, posts about the song production process, demo songs, rejected songs, explanations for released songs, etc. For more special perks, we recommend plans of 1000 JPY or more.
You can use plans priced over 1000 JPY to offer special perks such as early access to completed songs to be released, early access to tickets for live shows, and the option to have a name listed in the credits of the album.
When you complete your album and sell physical copies (CDs, records), we recommend using the BOOTH's secret release feature to offer a special bonus only to FANBOX supporters allowing them to purchase the limited edition.

Novelists and Essayists
Recommended price tiers: 500 JPY / 1000 JPY / 1500 JPY
You should focus on posting about your creative process and advance releases, quite similar to the plans for manga artists. Reference the advice for the 500 JPY plans for manga artists to get the general idea.
On the other hand, since novelists and essayists are writing experts, their daily journal posts tend to become a major content at the same level as a piece of work.
For example, once you have collected enough daily FANBOX posts, you could organize them into a serialized essay format and compile them into a book for sale.
You don't need to post a lot of content and nor do you need to post frequently, but for plans over 1000 JPY, we recommend designing a plan with access to special text to keep the supporters engaged and satisfied.

Game Developers and Programmers
Recommended price tiers: 500 JPY / 1000 JPY / 2000 JPY
There are two main types of plans: those with the option to purely donate to the developers and service operators, and those that offer perks in the form of the software itself or additional features.
If you want to set up a donation plan, we recommend focusing on low-priced 500 JPY plans. Posts for these plans will mainly consist of development journals and release announcements.
On the other hand, if you provide software or web services (or activation codes, etc.) with additional features exclusively to the supporters, creating plans based on the features offered will be very easy to understand and you will be more likely to attract supporters.
